Gorgeous!!! I just got to pop in to say how excited I am to see you doing this kind of work. What kind of wood did you use for the body? All of my 70's Destroyers are Japanese ash, but like American ash, they all have different densities and weights (8 to 11lbs). There are some subtle details regarding the pick guard cutout and spacing of pickup to the bridge depending on what year the original Destroyer was made. If you want to copy the "good" Destroyers, I would suggest the 75 or 76 (I could send you pictures explaining the differences).
When you set the neck, did you angle it back 2-4 degrees? That angle brings the neck back towards the body making for added comfort, especially when playing a bulky Explorer type guitar. Some people have done neck a through on their Destroyer replicas, but I do not feel that is an effective design choice (for a bass it is beneficial, but not a guitar).
Exciting work you are doing there! Please don't cut it up!
