Went to my second ever jam last night.
The keyboard dude was MIA, so it was Bass, Drums, and yers truly.
Chemistry was far from good in the beginning, as we appreciated out keyboardist music direction and musical sense of last week.
We proceeded anyway and managed to get something going after fiddling for 20 minutes.
I offered a
chord progression in a clean tone and the bass player picked it up perfectly, allowing me to alternate between melody and solo for 10 minutes. It was pretty trippy and atmospheric. I wish we had keys to give it even more atmosphere.
We later on did a rowdy blues number that turned out very well, and messed around some more.
These guys are older than I am and are more interested in playing
classic rock. I'm more metal, and progressive.
Hopefully we manage to meet somewhere in the middle. (who can resist Hot For Teacher)
