Johnson (J-Station)

Hello Everyone:

This is great for recording ! It's very similar to the Line 6 POD. I have a Johnson JT50 amp..this amp is great..built in effects, and I also use the J8 Foot-Controller...The J-Station would be an alternative to the POD...Also, MY JT50 is great for recording too.

The amp sims are great in the Johnson products...so if anyone is thinking in buying their stuff..it's worth checking out !

Cheers !

Re: Johnson (J-Station)

I have one, but havent had time to hook it up too my PC yet too do any recording. I really only use three of the amps on there. The Brit Stack, Rectified and Boat Black for 316 type of stuff. Rectified really sounds great when ya crank the gain up. Harmonics just fly off the neck. I'll have to take time and hook this thing up to my PC and record some shit for you guys. I'm totally a dumb ass when it comes too computer stuff so i'll have to get some help from a buddy of mine.

The J is great! I picked up one a few weeks ago brand new for less than $100. The preset sounds on it are amazing, but you really need to hook it up to your computer via MIDI to tweak them. the tones are comparable to the Line 6 stuff, but the price is much lower.

Re: Johnson (J-Station)

This is what I have heard. The tones are the same. Seems like there isn't much difference between a POD, V-amp, or a Johnson...

Just down to personal choice...

(How long will it take for wah and CC to kick my ass for saying that ?)

This J Station sounds really cool! What do you need to hook it up to your PC?
