Kramer 1984

I just bought a Kramer 1984 today from Music Yo and am planning to eventually stripe it either 5150 or Hot For Teacher style.Does anyone have any idea what the best brand and color for the red would be? I'm just gonna use spray cans the old fahioned way.I've seen it on another forum but don't remember which one.Any input would be helpful.

Krylon Banner Red, Gloss Black/White. I'm planning to buy one soon too, but I'm going to keep it stock for a while.

Yeah. I was originally gonna get the sealer coat but opted to keep it stock for awhile also. I figured it's gotta be painted white first anyway. I'll tape the stripes up, wet sand around the tape, and spray the red.It should work.?.

I did mine and the red went on great BUT when I went to add the black over the top it ran like hell so I cleaned it off and just used black tape...it has a f-cked feel and look to it now...like Eddies! see pic.

Have you gotten it yet, Moe? How is it? I was going to buy the red one, but the day I went to order it, it was gone!

I got it on monday. It was setup really nice from the factory except i took one of the springs out of the floyd.
They had 3 in there and it was quite stiff. But I tightened
the screws on the claw of the floyd to keep it non-floating.
It is really nice not having to spend a long time tuning like my floating floyds. I really love the guitar. I haven't
been able to play it real loud yet, but the sustain is great even at low gain and low volume levels. The pickup seems a little weaker than my duncan custom or duncan distortion but it sounds real nice and cleans up alot better w/ the volume pot and how hard you pick. She's a keeper!

I've got one of these and it's a beauty. It's got a dead spot that I still haven't got fixed that I guess got picked up when it shipped across the Atlantic.

Everyone says it should be easy to fix, but I'm too scared of ruining it, and haven't got round to taking it to the Guitar Shop yet. As such, she's mostly been played unplugged, but I'll rectify that once I get her repaired...

She's got a really warm tone and lots of sustain.

Plus, she's had the 5150 job done on her.
