LED Light Neck Inlays ??

How on earth do people install them? i have no clue how they work? do the wires go through the neck? if so how would u route that ? how u switch them on ? do their bulbs run out? how do u get them into the neck? Does anyone know? and if none of u know wot im talking about run out and Grab Steve Vais live in Astoria dvd and watch Bad Horsie

I dunno why you would want to install that jive but I do know that only chicks use toys that run on batteries

optek makes a guitar with them built in that show all the scales.I think its called a fretlight.

Good call Jethro... its OPTEK good playing guitars just very expensive.
They are routed through the neck prior to final assembly of the fretboard.
It would be a major undertaking unless your working with a neck blank with a glue on type fretboard. Todays LED's have a very long life span so replacing them wouldnt be much of an issue. Battery life would be decent using lithium cells to power the lights and with todays micro chip technology the rest is a few wires running from a small board no bigger than an onboard preamp.

And yeah. batteries belong in flashlights not guitars.... just my opinion
