Major Scale Question

Hey guys, I've been getting heavy on the theory lately, just continuing learning the major scale. While I was reading about the major scale, they mentioned a Major sharp scale, and a Major flat scale. What is that? Thanks again guys.

Thanks, I was just hoping it wasn't a whole other scale. They had just said it as Major Sharp, and my brain didn't register Major Sharp as Major #.

I would always learn my scales on third fret G so that there "is" sharps and flats in the scale so you are used to it from the start. Plus you will understand key signatures that way in the long term.

And G major is better hand stretch so its good for warm ups, C major is not much of a stretch.

I'd also recommend learning the Gmaj scale first, with it you can play most rock/metal songs as its diatonic to E natural minor the most guitarfriendly key imo.

Thank you guys, I have been learning in G now, it is a better finger stretch then C.
