Yeah, when i saw the clip for 'lets go crazy' (or something like that.....) from purple rain i was pretty impressed. Cos until i saw that i thought prince just carried a guitar around to look cool and couldnt play it.

Yea prince has surprised me quite a bit at points. Although i would say his tone is a little odd.

Re: Most underated guitarists
Neal Schon (HSAS is to die for!)
Any Mahavishnu (McLaughlin) just isn't talked about enuff these dayz. Same w/Jeff Beck.
I tell you, the guy......what's his name? He played in Saga........Neal..........man, I forget. A tune called pitchman is the bees knees!
I remember trying to cop his licks w/ a floyd rose, he kinda used it like Brad Gillis, yet shredded like DiMeola.
Peace, ET Tripton

Re: Most underated guitarists
HSAS - The solo in "Missing you" still frys my brain. Also if you see the making of the hear 'n aid project Neal comes in and burns down about 90% of the other guitarists with the exception of Lynch and Malmsteen.

Re: Most underated guitarists
Fredrik Thordendahl - Lead guitarist of meshuggah,
i think he is awsome , does some scary stuff.
Jake e. Lee - just compsing the riff to bark at
the moon takes talent , but mainly ( i think )
he is better rythm player than lead ....
Though he can chop some solos ..

Yeah, as much as I can't stand country music, a lot of those guys shred. Junior Brown, Albert Lee, Brent Mason, The Hellecasters.
