My Guitar Is In Tune With Some Chords, And Not In Others..intonation Problems!!, Help
SO MY GUITAR IS DRIVING ME NUCKINGFUTS!! I'M HAVING A HORRIBLE TIME WITH THE "G" STRING SPECIFICALLY, ODDLY ENOUGH, LOL. I'VE BEEN PLAYING FOR 13 YEARS, BUT STILL DO NOT KNOW MUCH OF THE TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF PLAYING. I CAN PLAY AN OPEN "A" CHORD, AND THE "G" IS FLAT. SO I TUNE IT UP. THEN I PLAY A "D" POWER CHORD AND THE "G" STRING IS WAY SHARP, AS WITH ANY OTHER POWER CHORDS THAT INCLUDES THE "G" STRING. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE IN TUNE WITH THE "A" STRING AS IN BEING JUST AN OCTAVE HIGHER RIGHT?? I'VE MESSED AROUND WITH THE SADDLES, STOPBAR AND THE BRIDGE A LITTLE BIT AND COME UP WITH NOTHING. IF ANYTHING ITS A LITTLE WORSE. SO PLEASE...PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME. I CAN'T EVEN BARE PLAYING SOMETIMES ITS SO BAD. THANKS, DRAVEN.
I posted in another thread about having problems with the B string more than the G, but my guitar is cheap and the tuners are crap. Have you tried a guitar with the Buzz Feiten tuning system? It's been around for a while, but you're supposed to able to play chords in all positions around the neck and be in tune. Some guitars come stock with this feature and I believe you can have it done to another instrument for a nominal fee of course.
