I'm trying to do some research into getting some new tuners for one of my guitars. I really like the Grovers that are on one of my other guitars, so I'm considering those. I've heard lots of talk on this site about Sperzel tuners...would like some info on those too. I'm not sure whether I would want
locking tuners or not because I'm not quite sure how they work. I spend a lot of time going between drop D and standard, so I don't know if I should just give up on locking tuners all together, or whether I should just keep one guitar in drop D and the other in standard and have locking tuners on both. I've looked at a couple brands and from what I can tell the most popular and best reviews are for Grover, Sperzel, and Planet Waves...any info on these or other brands is welcome. Thanks in advance.
