Any news on this? I recall those 2 DJ's who get Ed on the phone at the crack of dawn had him on last month and Ed made mention on putting finishing touches on a new Wolfgang for NAMM. has anyone heard anything else on this?

There's been alot of speculation, but I really don't think anyone will know anything for sure until it's introduced at the NAMM show.

If Eddie comes out with a new signature guitar, I would think it would be from Charvel... not Ernie Ball (Axis) or Peavey (Wolfgang) because of his current endorsements.
Peavey has already modified and renamed the 5150 amps to become the 6501's or something so they can still release them without the Ed endorsement.

I've always wondered why EVH didn't put out his OWN line of guitars.

LMAO! Can you imagine Eddie doing an infomercial!!!???.. LMAO!
"Now this isn't THe guitar I play, that would cost you one, maybe two hundred dollars in spare parts and bicycle paint. No, , This "exact replica" will only cost you THOUSANDS. It was painstakeingly handcrafted and designd to be so affordable, heck, even YOU can own one of these beautiful handcrafted masterpieces, if you sell a kidney on the black market. (bridge falls off). "Oh, can you get that for me.. thanks.. where was I, OH YEAH, This guitar comes with one of those whammy dealies, you can do this (grabs another guitar off the rack, divebombs... again the trem unit falls to the floor) "Hee he, I dont know whats happining.. he hee.. um.. anyway.. Look at the amazing paint job! These stripes are 100% Eddie approved, my lawyers made sure that you cant even see a BARBOR POLE anymore without me getting a cut (no pun intended.. hee hee)'

The local guitar store stocks the EVH Charvels and Steve the manager told me an interesting story. Apparently, Peavey wanted to run a line of 5150/Wolfgang clothing when Ed was endorsed with them. However, they chose not too after discussions with Ed (and his lawyers no doubt) as they needed to sell baseball caps at $95 a shot to cover Ed's cut!!!!!

That's hard to believe.
I actually own an "EVH" baseball cap.
It has a round "EVH" logo embroidered on the front, and "5150" embroidered on the backside. Total cost = $20.00
Maybe the additional $75 was needed to cover Peavey's cut.

Now that's funny....and sad but true! We will know the story in January...where Ed will blame Peavey for "compromising his original Wolfgang design for the sake of cost cutting and mass production.......but now you can have the new <insert name> Wolfgang and it's the real deal.....for only $4200. Why this price???? Becasue Zakk can get $4000 for his guitar and mine should cost you more."
Anyway speaking of ZW Les Pauls, I was in at the Hard Rock in Times Square this week and they have an entire wall made of Gibson guitar bodies sawed in half......there must be at least 10 Zakks (not Epi's either). What a shame. You should check it out if you are ever there. They are (were) beautiful guitars!

anything Charvel makes is going to cost a fortune..but id say the price of EVH stock is going down....hit songs and reunions will sell guitars...only loyal fans will purchase at the price...EVH needs to get off his lazy ass and stop searching for an easy buck endorsing and open his own factory, reunion or album
. i think Peavey HpCustoms are going to turn some heads ....
