PANTERA, Superjoint Ritual, Down FANS COME TO THIS POST

Lets talk...whats your fav song, fav album, fav dime guitar, fav album for phils voice..ETC....

My fav album is a toss up between Great Southern TrendKill, and Far Beyond Driven.. Fav song is a toss up too between suicide note 2, cowboys from hell, war nerve, use my third arm, and a few others... Fav dime guitar is the washburn dimeslime or the dean ML he uses on the this love video..its an AWESOME red but not sure if it had a floyd in it or not... i think phil sounded the best on great southern trendkill... as far as superjoint, best song is fuck your enemy and bestg album is their first use once and destroy...not to big on down but stone the crow song..met pantera about 10-20 times since vulgar display of power..puff on a doobie with dime one time backstage..etc..etc..here is a pic to start off the pics too.. Re: PANTERA, Superjoint Ritual, Down FANS COME TO THIS POST

I only first heard down about 1 week ago. Since then i've bought both their albums. My favourite album for phil's voice is probably the first down album, NOLA. Favourite pantera moment would almost definitely be the floods solo or the outro of cemetary gates with phil hitting the high notes with dime. My favourite dime guitar is probably the one in my pic. "puff on a doobie with dime one time backstage.." goddamn thats cool. So are the pantera guys cool in real life?

Re: PANTERA, Superjoint Ritual, Down FANS COME TO THIS POST

yes very cool...every time i met them and was waiting backstage for them to come out from showering and freshening up they usally have music playing and dime came out one time first and the music wasn't playing and he was like this ain't no party if music isn't playing..if theres no music where all going to the bar ...and everyone started chanting KEEP IT OFF KEEP IT OFF and Dime started joining in on it..then it went on..vinnie was cool too but not as cool as his bro..and phil was wasted most of the time..

I have never listened to them much but from what I have heard they kick ass. I would think that CC is into them but not sure about that one

Start with stuff off vulgar display of power to get a good idea of what they sound like.

Re: PANTERA, Superjoint Ritual, Down FANS COME TO THIS POST

oh hell the fuck yea Pantera kicks ass!
My favorite song would be The Sleep. Favorite Album is Cowboys From Hell cause that's the one that made me a fan way back when. Reinventing the Steel was cool too i thought. Dont listen to it much.
My Favorite solo: Cemetary Gates
Dime Guitar: The camoflauge guitar he had on the cover of GW with Zakk Wylde a few months ago. His axe with the confederate flag looks bad ass too.

that's cool NewHalen. I wish he and Zakk could get this project underway that they're talkin about. If they got Ed involved that would be the greatest!

yea i have that interview. pretty funny shit. I think an album with those three would be amazing. Each of them are very good song writers in their own right, and i believe that playin with those gents it might just give Ed a lil kick in the ass to elevate his game a bit.

GOOD GOD!!!!!!!For those who are a fellow Pantera fan i'm sure you heard about phils new band and the band he left pantera with called SuperJoint Ritual..OMG just came back from their show out here in Phoenix, and it was IN-FUCKING-CREDABLE....They did all there popular ones from their first album Use Once & Destroy..did a few from newest album which i can't think of the fricken name of it right at this moment.. and a couple of new ones for their thrid up coming album...Phil sounded AWESOME...little ass venue with a BIG ASS mosh pit..no bottle only plastic cups..general admission...$20 a ticket...go check them out if they come around..PHil said one thing that kinda pissed me off a little...he was talking to everyone and when he stopped a second to catch his breath i would yell out really loud PANTERAAAAAAAAAA...and finally he said something...he was like " I'm only gonna say this one more time, when you hear my old guys's new record you will understand why I left: then he kept on saying i left for you ..talking about sticking to underground metal and fuck commerical..so basiclly Pantera got WAYYYYY to big and popular for phil to handle..but fuck it..GREAT SHOW...GO SEE THEM..AWESOME TIME
