2 months ago I purchased an american deluxe strat with the SCN pickups and humbucker in the bridge. I picked out the one with a short in the selector switch. After the holidays I was going to get it to guitar center for waranty work, while they have it opened I was thinking of putting in a
seymour duncan SH-6 or TB-6 in the bridge(anyone know which one for a strat, I believe the SH-6). I was just looking for any knowledge or experience with this pickup.
Being a high output pickup will it sound to off from the other pickups?
The stock humbucker just does not provide enough distortion and crunch for the heavier playing. I am using a fender blues junior (I am sure this amp was not intended for heavy distortion but my ibanez RG570 with EMG 81 sounds decent on this amp).
