Sound comparison - LP vs Strat vs HSS Strat

I recorded this last night just so I could compare the sounds my 3 main guitars make through the same pedal settings etc.

The guitars are:

Gibson LP Platinum Studio
Fender American Deluxe Strat HSS QMT
US Fender Strat 1990

1st 3 are with distortion

LP - Bridge Humbucker
Deluxe Strat - Bridge Humbucker
Strat - Bridge Single coil

2nd 3 are clean of all effects except a bit of echo

LP - both Humbuckers
Deluxe Strat - Humbucker and middle single coil ( thats using the S1 switch )
Strat - bridge and middle single coils

This is not a work of art - its just a comparison - 1.26 minutes

Nice man. great tone on the LP as Mike said. Sounds like you got all the bases covered for any tone you want.

The american delux all the way!! it's expressive, unmuddy and ripping, but not too thin like the 90 strat.

they alll sound great but i'd have to go with the american deluxe too !

maybe the single coil strat for clean sounds ... sounds awesome though [img]images/smilies/icon_thumb.gif[/img]

thanx for the comments i am very happy I bought the deluxe strat but the LP is really good as well - my advice is buy both [img]images/smilies/icon_jam.gif[/img]

I agree, I really thought they were both quite nice. The US fender has it's place too!
