Talented Guitarists on Guitars 101
Hello Everyone:
I just wanna say that there is so much talent on this website...Great people and Guitarists ! With all the talent on here we could do an Album (CD)...Showcasing various guitarists on here...With the way technology is headed, this could be very possible...I would like people on here to share ideas...it would be a fun project....
Cheers !

Re: Talented Guitarists on Guitars 101
I'm just thinking even further into this...this would actually be very unique...Basically all of us who submitted mp3's have the capabilities to record, all we would have to do, is use the same recording software, take it to a Mastering Facility...Just a thought ..J-mart, WahWah, Terry, would do an amazing Eddie Van Halen Tribute...But maybe guys, you would wanna do your own tunes, that's cool too ! EricGtr, I'm assuming you named the website Guitars 101...that would be an excellent title for the CD...I'm just expressing ideas here and I don't wanna leave anyone left out, so please share some input...I know this could be done...We would just have to figure the best way, to accomplish this !

Of course I'm up for it but competition would mean space is tight if you're gonna put 15 or so 5 minute tracks on it? Also the quality would have to ba as top dog as you could make it.

Re: Talented Guitarists on Guitars 101
This is a great idea. There's so much talent on these boards, that it would be rude not to !!!
I certainly will support this idea, it sounds great. I'd opt out of contributing though, if you're talking top quality
This would be great whether you did a tribute or originals. You just gotta listen to the covers section or the mp3 of the month to realise how fucking good everyone is :

Re: Talented Guitarists on Guitars 101
Excellent idea YYZ! Mondola, if you aren't comfortable playing, think of something else you can do to contribute... Artwork or production assistance or something along those lines...
I have several tunes I have been working on my own, and this would be a great opportunity for me to off my ass and do something constructive with them!
Since space is limited, I am open to doing a collab with anyone interested to save a little space.

Re: Talented Guitarists on Guitars 101
Lots of great ideas here...Wahwah, make a good suggestion, yes the quality of the recordings would have to be professional...What we need to do is to decide how many participants, how many tracks, and the method of recording....Maybe EricGtr, could setup a voting process, so it's fair for everyone ! Just a thought...

Re: Talented Guitarists on Guitars 101
So, we're thinking we may have re-record. I was thinking of one my existing songs, but if we want new stuff that's fine as well. We could submit our mp3's to someone and have them mastered to be at the same volume. Really that's all that needs to be done....low noise and consistant volume
