The R28 mod on Phase 90 re-issues

I did the R28 mod to my re-issue Phase 90 last night. Has anyone tried this? It is supposed to make your re-issue phase 90 sound more like a scipt model phase 90 that Eddie used in the 70's. I just clipped a little wire and that was it. It seems to even the sound out more and gives it less boost. They say the re-issues would clip and be distorted and this little mod takes care of that. I noticed a little change and it's really easy.

Yeah, when I get one I want to do this mod. While on the subject of MXR, has anyone noticed their Flanger has disappeared from their site?

yes, they discontinued remaking them, i got me a BOSS flanger.

I have an original flanger and my buddy has a re-issue and I think the original is much better. So if you want one you'll have to pay for it. I got mine for $30 because the switch was bad in it. I knew what was wrong so I fixed it and it works great. But they are expensive and hard to find.

This R28 is removed completely, but I just clipped mine with a scissors on the left side and put it back together.

i opened it up, but the circuit thingy is backwords, how do you take it out and turn it over so i can do this?

I don't have one yet, but it looks like you'll have to take the nuts off ([img]images/smilies/icon_surprised.gif[/img]) the knob and switch.

You have to take off the nuts on both the switch and knob, Then you unscrew the input and output jacks as well, should slide right out after that.
