Unknown Bon Jovi song

Well, im trying to figure out the name of a bon jovi song i've heard a few times. It's a slow minor ballad and Ritchie Sambora has a recurring melodic mini guitar solo throughout the song. And in his mini solos, just about all the notes are artificial harmonics. Any help would be appreciated, its driving me crazy!!!!!!

Re: Unknown Bon Jovi song

Jeez man. Richie uses repeated harmonics all over the place. Very subtle, so you don't realise how much he does in fact use them.

I did in fact think of Dead Or Alive myself when you said this.

Is it a song off an album, or is it a b-side / unreleased ?

Let me scan through the Bon Jovi track listing and see if my memory will play me back what you might be describing.

Everyone else, flame away at me for being a Bon Jovi fan. I don't give a f**k ! But let me say this. I am a Richie Sambora fan, rather than a Bon Jovi fan. This guy is amazing

Re: Unknown Bon Jovi song

Right then...

Ballads :
<ul type="square">[*]Never Say Goodbye - Recurring feel to it. Sounds sort of harmonic-y. I never played it, so it may well be this one. Lyric : Never Say Good-bye... Never Say Good-bye... You And Me And My Old Friends, Hoping It Would Never End....[*]I'll Be There For You - Contains a recurring riff, that even though I play the notes, I can never get to sound right. Maybe he's slightly pinching them Lyric : I'll Be There For You, These Five Words I'll Swear To You, When I Breathe, I wanna Be The Air For You. I'll Be There For You[*]This Ain't A Love Song - Recurring feel throughout the song. Not really Harmonics I don't think though. Lyric : If The Pain That I'm Feeling So Strong, Is The Reason, I'm Holdin' On... Then I'm Wrong, Yeah, I'm Wrong, This Ain't A Love Song[*]Captain Crash And The Beauty Queen From Mars - Has a recurring riff that sounds harmonicy in it. It's played as the intro riff before verses. Great lyric : "Dressed Up Just Like Ziggy, But He Couldn't Play Guitar... Captain Crash, And The Beauty Queen From Mars"[*]Thank You For Lovin' Me - . Very slow high notes, but not really harmonics... Lyric : Thank You... For Lovin' Me... For Being My Eyes... When I Couldn't See. For Parting My Lips... When I Couldn't Breathe. Thank You, For Lovin' Me (Had this as one my first dance at my wedding)
Hope this helps.

Re: Unknown Bon Jovi song

Thanks for the help but it's none of those. I've only heard the song twice when ive seen the video clip on a classic rock channel. By the looks of the clip, i'm pretty sure it's a song from the 80's. And it's one of those 'fake' live videos where its made to look like they're playing in concert (eg. living on a prayers video). And the song fades out with the solo. I guess if i watch the channel long enough, i'll eventually see it again lol.

Have you listened to Ritchie Sambora - Solo? It could be One Light Burning. The video is exactly as described in all the emails - and its one to think about!
