USA G&L Legacy HB vs Korean G&L Tribute Series S-500

I'm really torn between the purchase of two guitars; and as a noob, it is difficult to decide which is the better deal long run.

1) A used 2005 USA G&L Legacy HB (black, tort pg, maple fb) $699

vs

2) a new G&L Tribute series S-500 (burst, white pg, rosewood) $299


As far as aesthetics go, I think they are both great looking guitars; my main concern is good clean tone, playability, functionality, quality, and future value.

Is the USA G&L really worth the extra $400?

thats a tough call. with the tribute, you have that 7 way switch configuration, rather than the 5, and it has a great sustain.

the legacy is all that, just better. if i'm not mistaken, legacy's are made in USA, and therefore, i would say YES! it is worth the extra 400. although, ive seen those guitars being sold for 700 CANADIAN dollars and BRAND NEW. so, unless this guitar was played by super man's son, i dont know whats up with it. i mean, it should be cheaper considering its a) used, b) 2 years old.
