BlackStar, What sound ya' like?............I'm using the PAF Pro in 'da bridge.
the MP3 RID Ballad where I'm soloing is the PAF PRO. I love that open P.A.F. sound. This pup has a bit of drive to it but not too much. I'm able to control the dynamics real well......it fits my style, light guage strings and 1.14mm dunlop (very stiff) for that even-sounding
alternate picking technique.
The Tone Zone, to me, seem a bit compressed. Too 'Honky' sounding, not open. It does have a bunch of bass and mid.
The Evolution was great in a live setting, however it pushed my amp too hard and got muddy especially playing rythm. I just love that classic-type PAF sound.
EMG's are good as well, but I think Dimarzio's are cutting edge, where Duncan's have the best harmonic content. The PAF Pro is tight, very fast reacting, clear almost single-coily.
Good Luck!!!
