I've got a PAF Pro in the neck of My Jackson and a Super Distortion in the bridge. I may be willing to part with both.

If you're willing to part with both does that mean they are not good? Or does that mean you will just sell them?

doesnt mean they arent good. just means im going with something else. I might even part the guitar itself. I'm not all that happy with it anymore......moving on.

BlackStar, What sound ya' like?............I'm using the PAF Pro in 'da bridge.

the MP3 RID Ballad where I'm soloing is the PAF PRO. I love that open P.A.F. sound. This pup has a bit of drive to it but not too much. I'm able to control the dynamics real well......it fits my style, light guage strings and 1.14mm dunlop (very stiff) for that even-sounding alternate picking technique.

The Tone Zone, to me, seem a bit compressed. Too 'Honky' sounding, not open. It does have a bunch of bass and mid.

The Evolution was great in a live setting, however it pushed my amp too hard and got muddy especially playing rythm. I just love that classic-type PAF sound.

EMG's are good as well, but I think Dimarzio's are cutting edge, where Duncan's have the best harmonic content. The PAF Pro is tight, very fast reacting, clear almost single-coily.

Good Luck!!!

damn formulaet, I just listened to the RiD tribute and I gotta tell....I'm pretty impressed! I gotta re-evaluate the PAF Pro I'm using I guess. What are you using for an amp or amp modeler? Rock On!

Thanks, I'm glad you dug it!
I use a Johnson J-Station for all modeling; direct-to-PC recording. The DP-151 (PAF Pro) cuts through nicely.
Med-to-Low millivolt pups serve my articulation needs more so than any high output pup; unless I wire it in parallel.
