Re: What\'s your favourite guitar? come on in and vote!

I'd have to say the Ibanez AX series; I'm not a guitarist myself, but I've read many reviews, and I've talked to a lot of dedicated guitarists, and they all acknowledge that although low-priced, they play like guitars that cost, say $550 - $600, and are excellent starter - beginner guitars.

Strat...a twat to play and very unforgiving but when you get the hang of it, it pays back in droves...ask Jeff Beck

I've never played a more comfortable guitar than a EVH/Axis musicman or the John Petrucci model

I Like Vintage Ibanez Guitars. i have a 1981 Ibanez Roadstar 2 Custom Strat. Emg Active Pickups-EMG-81 Bridge, EMG-S Mid, EMG-SA Neck. Its got a Custom Neck and Floyd. The thing Kicks Ass. If i was gonna go with anything else i'd go with an ESP.

Re: What\'s your favourite guitar? come on in and vote!

It is very geeky, but I bought a Burns Brian May, almost as a joke, and now its my most played guitar! It is astonishinglty versitile, light ,and plays wonderfully (once it is set up), though tuning it can be a pain. I have never owned a guitar that can authenticly go from Rock to Country or Disco to Blues, but this does the trick. And if you avoid getting a red one, keep your hair short or straight and give up wearing clogs, not many people realize your playing "sombody else's" guitar .
Why is it that no one really cares if you play a Les Paul (who is a little geeky himself), but play a Brian May and you're instantly an object of derision?

Re: What\'s your favourite guitar? come on in and vote!

go for it, its good to have something different i do get sick of seeing same guitars all the time. Reason I bought an axis not only did i consider it "Guitarists guitar" but are not very common and suggest that you have a clue about guitars.
