Rainbow
Deep Purple
Blackmore's Night
Van Halen
Dream Theater

Although people want Ritchie Blackmore to play hard rock again, I think what he's doing now is a natural progression when you listen to his old tunes like Temple of the King. I'm glad he's making the music that he's making now.
Great to see Van Halen back!
I love prog metal, but sometimes Rush puts out some tunes that I just don't care for. DT is much more consistant for me.

1. The Beatles
2. Fleetwood Mac
3. Loreena McKennitt et al.
4. Enya (she counts as a band, she's actually 3 people)
5. Queen

I guess it's no surprise there are so many metal fans on a guitar site, but are there really so few people here preferring other types of music?
