I don't know if I would say Kiss and AC/DC are really 80's bands. Both had success in the decade of excess (more so AC/DC) but were both established in the 70's and had some great albums released in that decade.

Not really much to choose from as I also consider a couple of those as bands from the 70's
And the best 80's only band isn't listed.
You might considering redoing the thread with a little input from other members ?

Thats a real toughie cos all those bands have had killer albums in their time which have taken my breath away when I have heard them.
To me my favourite Im afraid to say has to be kiss.
What a band!
Stage show
great riffs and catchy tunes
larger than life rock stars
The total package!!

Each of those bands were unique in their own right. Tough call but I would go with Guns and Roses with AC/DC very close behind in 2nd.

I really don't care for any of those bands... but Dream Theater was formed in '85 with a studio release in '89. So they are my favorite 80's band... late 80's... but still the 80's. ^_^
But if I really had to choose from the list I'd say Guns & Roses.

Well, if we're considering Kiss a band from the 80s, or perhaps you mean which band did I like most in the 80s, I'd have to pick Kiss. Other than that, being established in the 80s I'll go with GNR.

I would normally say Kiss, but Kiss and AC/DC to me are 70's bands (Their best material was in the 70's IMO).
So I'm picking Motley Crue. Loved their attitude and the music was pretty good also.

AC/DC or G&R
