Which one of these two 10 band EQ's would be the best choice?

depends on what you need. the Boss one has presets and is a great price on the link you posted. the MXR one is a proven product but has no presets. Work out if you need to have different settings or can make do with just one. For the record I would get the boss unit - but that is just me.

I'd go with the Boss, nothing beats their equipment.

Thanks for the shove in the Boss direction, lol. I am sure that MXR would have been good as well yet I went ahead and ordered the Boss EQ-20, 12 inch cable coupler and the power supply. I am not sure if I need or want the presets yet that option is there so that's a plus. Also the Boss is 9 volt if I want to place it on a board later on I wont have the 18 volt MXR thrown in the mix. the thing that sold me on it was the 100% 45 day return, credit, or exchange.

So much for the PODXT LIVE for now...hopefully this will help me adjust things where I want. I have tried every possibly combination of amp, guitar and effects settings-I just can't find it-also I can't tweak things as far as what strings are more dominant or less dominate (technique aside)

The only way to answer this question is to order one and hook it up. (crosses fingers) whether I can place it in a desirable location is still questionable (I don't have an effects loop on the Fender Blues Junior)

OK so I called and cancelled the order of the EQ, sold the Fender Blues Junior today, he did not want the BOSS ME 50 and said he could get it for less than i was asking at wholesale yet it is there at the shop on consignment.

I wouldnt do it like this yet there is no place within 250 or so miles to even check out anything in person so online ordering is my option.

Looks like the PODXT live is the next runner up in my quest instead of that EQ. (by the way would an EQ like the one I was going to get be good in conjunction with the PODXT LIVE?)

I still have to venture into how to listen to the podxtl with something better than these crappy computer speakers, cross that bridge when I get to it.

So far the ONLY thing I have tried and kept is my guitar, I really love this thing. I hope I can find the rest of what I want and love it as much-I will get there or die trying, lol

I cant wait to be able to record something halfway decent, and am a still psyched/hopeful about it.

thanks for letting me share, heh!
