Re: wolfie korean

Here are some reviews for ya. I have one by the way and its a great guitar for the price. The only thing i really hate is the finished neck. The trem is a bit stiff too and i find myself playing it more and more without the bar in there. Other then that its a great guitar. it looks sweet and plays sweeter. Supposedly the pups are the same as the standard but im not so sure about that. Here are some reviews:

I have an amber one and it rocks. I played a gig and a friend brought 3 American wolfies down that looked and played superb but the sound in 2 of them was nowhere as powerful as mine. The onlt thing that gets me is when it breaks a string it always does at the same place...the bridge. Buy it-you won't regret.

I was thinkin of switchin the pups out of mine and put something with just a tad more bite in there, but i dont want anything too hot. My boy Rich told me about Dimarzo's and said the Tone Zone might be good to throw in there. What ya think Wah Wah?

I have a Tone Zone in my Kramer Franky...and they're great pick-ups but for me I reckon the Wolfgang pickups do the job. The best pickup I have bought was a Seymour Duncan Jeff Beck-don't know why but it was very powerful and made my Les Paul sing!

Man, Korea has been making our stuff for several decades. As mentioned in one of the Musicians Friend catalogs, they certainly know what they are doing by now, so just because it was made in Korea don't let it get to you.

Re: wolfie korean

There is really nothing wrong with the Korean Wolf's. I have two regular wolf specials and a Korean one. It plays just as good as the other two. I think a lot of people bash them either because of the fact that they are made in Korea or because they are just really nit-picky.
It's like Les Paul's and the Epiphone Les Paul. I used to own a Les Paul and a buddy of mine got an Epiphone one. I was amazed at how good the Epi sounded! It sounded better than mine!!!
Go for it, you won't be disapointed! (Unless you're real picky.)

Re: wolfie korean

I went to see wahwah paly live in the UK. He had his Korean Wolfgang, Peavey 5150, and Line 6 multi effects tool.

That guitar sound rocked ! It sounded awesome. Certainly better than I can ever get my guitar sounding. Now, I don't own a Peavey 5150, or the Line 6 pedal, but I have a USA Wolf. However, I also can't play anywhere near as well as wahwah.

But, there's no denying that those guitars sound damn good.

Only difference is the quilted top (photo job ?) and the fact that it felt a bit heavier than my Wolfgang...

Other than that, bugger all difference ! Unless, like someone else has already stated, you are dead pickly...
