Did you use your short 4 digit original order number? (All I've got) Or the legit, multiple digit?
The short 4 digit......I can put it in now and see the tracking and delivery for my toy choppers. There is always the possibility that another order out there coming to your zip has that same reference number....so then make sure the shippment is coming from TN.
The guitar will weigh 14.5 pounds. Several people can see their guitars in transit right now....some have arrived.
Some guy at the ZW forums (who was very vocal on the board about being frustrated with the wait) reported to have received his bullseye LP on Friday. He says he's very impressed with the quality of the instrument and compares it to a Gibson.
Email exchange between me & EMG questioning the defective pick-up thing. I didn't expect much, but at least I got a reply. No point in NOT sharing it, so here's what we're lookin' at:

Subject: Thousands of defective EMG pickups in Epiphone Zakk Wylde Guitars?
Hello-
I'm writing to try to get some information about a reported problem with thousands of EMG pickups in a massive shipment of Epiphone guitars.
I'm not sure if you've heard of the promotion 357 Customs is running where they decided to give away free Epiphone Zakk Wylde guitars. Orders were placed between December & February, due to ship by the end of March. One day before all guitars were supposed to ship, 357 Customs declared that there was a problem with the guitars and NONE would be shipping for up to four weeks (only a handful had been shipped at all).
After much poking and prodding by angry customers, this reply was finally given by 357 Custom's webmaster (Chad Dyer):
Quote:
Hello everyone.
Thanks for being so patient on the delivery of the Epiphone guitars. Here's the deal.
We are waiting on delivery of the Epiphone guitars for you guys FROM Epiphone because the guitars that Epiphone has in stock do NOT have working pickups!
That's correct...for whatever reason (and people....please don't send me 100 emails and posts here asking why the pickups don't work...I'm not working for Epiphone) the pickups don't work. So rather than send you guys a guitar that doesn't make SOUND through an amp, we want to have Epiphone remedy this situation and send you WORKING guitars.
That's the reason for the wait. I didn't want to say anything until I had permission because NOBODY want's to make Epiphone or EMG angry.
THANK YOU.
-Chad
Following that, I read elsewhere that a few people had called EMG to verify this story and EMG claimed no knowledge of the reported problem and (as I would expect from EMG) declared the story of 10,000 defective EMG-equipped guitars highly suspicious considering EMG's excellent Quality Assurance.
Is there anything you can add to this? Estimates are ~2000 guitars ordered by 357 for this promotion who are affected by this problem. I'm not accusing EMG or Epiphone of anything and I'm not one bit disgruntled (both companies have nothing to prove to me). I just want to know what's going on because we're hearing some different stories that don't really make sense.
Now Chad posts an update, saying that 7000 choppers have arrived at 357 and that they are shipping today.
As for the fiddles, he says that all guitars will go out in the next 3 weeks.
Does it mean starting now and over the course of 3 weeks, or NOTHING until 3 weeks from now?

I just got the email on the guitars, and I think he is saying you should have your guitar within the next three weeks.

Thanks CC. I gotta admit it was pretty chump of Chad to say "a couple of bad eggs ruined the omlette" about not doing another guitar giveaway.
Surely he is referring to the pis*poor customer service at 357, or his lack of responding to any questions for two months after these promotions started...? Personally, I would have fired Chad and whomever was at 357 because a promotion is supposed to be a positive experience, not turn people into literally hating you or your products. They need to nut up and admit they had no clue what they were doing, and apologize. Would you spend $50k on a bike from these jokers? I sure as hell wouldn't! They can't even ship a plastic (they call it diecast) bike in time...

You make a good point, and I think that that company actually does need to offer another guitar promo, in order to prove that it has the ability to deal with it. If not, this will be a stain on their image forever.
I do believe that they will come through, and agree that there are a lot of asswipes that are making this deal even more sour.
All Chad needs to do is a make a sticky on the forum, with a detailed statement that adresses once and for all the gamut of questions asked by people. Like a FAQ and be done with it.
Chad choses to address questions as they come and can be short with people. I disagree with that. He has to live with that choice.

I would be interested to know what impact this did or didn't have on their business 6 months to a year from now. You're in their industry, maybe you can keep a small tab on them just out of curiosity?
