Zakk Wylde Sues 357 Customs - Guitars101

I am going to sticky this thread so people can respond if they are getting the goods on the Zakk Wylde guitars. I ordered all three from the first deal, then another one from the MP3 player deal.

To date, I have plastic 2 saw blade bikes. I received one about a month ago, presumably from the first deal, and today, 3/24, I received the second. Still waiting on the the other 2 bikes, but more importantly the guitars!

I used to have an Epi ZW, and it was an awesome guitar. I even gigged with mine a couple of times. Excellent

If you are actually receiving guitars or bikes from the 357 deals, please post in here

This thread is not intended to complain about any processes, so please refrain.

I ordered the Bullseye deal back in December and the Buzzsaw deal in February.

To date, I have recieved 4 choppers. Once everything calms down on their end, I'll send 2 of them back.

I have read that they are shipping in order of the order numbers. Mine are 30XX and 48XX, but who knows for sure.

A quick tip - go to http://www.ups.com/WebTracking/refer...&WT.svl=SubNav

Put in your 357 order number for the reference number. Leave the dates and the UPS account number alone. Put in your country and zip code, click the box and submit. If your order shows completed on the 357store.com site, you'll be able to track it! You can also see what packages from those orders numbers that have already been delivered.

I ordered a Camo and Buzzsaw....very early in the process. So far I have a Camo bike. Rumor from Tim at 357 has it that 400 guitars are shipping out next week. While I have never owned a EpiZW....I played one in the store and it appeared to be a very well built guitar....I really think those Koreans are making some fine guitars these days.

Unfortunately,I missed out on the first deal because we were remodeling the kitchen and I wasn't online much then,but I did get the Sawblade and MP4 player in the second deal.When the Camo and Bullseye came around the second time,they were economically out of reach.

So far I have my diecast,and word on the street is that they will all be shipped in the next two weeks.But patience is a virtue,and for what we payed for these things,anything less than 6 months is nothing to complain about.

When they do arrive,I will,of course,have to post a new Family Portrait,and start trolling for a reasonable Bullseye.I can still kick myself for missing that one.....

Well whoever get's theirs first.....be sure and look closely at the back of the headstock to see if it's stamped 2nd. I suspect this might be how 357 plans to get them for cheap. I'll still be happy if it is a factory 2nd.

I figured there would be some factory 2nds in there, but I can't see them having enough 2nds to do the entire promotion... At least I hope not! I am already planning on repainting mine anyway because that "Antique White" looks more like "Crazy Ass Bumble Bee"!

It shouldn't be that bad Serg. The 2nds are slightly blemished, and half the time you can't even see it.

I agree EJ...I have looked at some factory 2nds in the past. They range all over the place from slight blemish's that you can never find to a ding, or paint issue that you can...but still need to look hard.

I am feeling better VH. I thought that was the guitar you received from 357.
A blemish is OK, but sometimes a second is due to anomalies in the playability no? I hope not. I just want a good neck. That's the ticket for me.

They do look basically yellow and black.

Rumor has it that on the EPI's the main target or any of the graphics are actually decals as opposed to paint. Is this true? I have never actually seen the camo or buzzsaw up close.

Anyway I'm going to see what the camo actually looks like when/if I get it and decide what to do at that time. I'll have 3 Les Pauls so I am considering selling 2 and buying a Blue Wolf with a hardtail.

I have not received any guitars yet....but if there was a playability issue I am pretty sure they would throw it in the wood chipper. Factory 2nds are cosmetic flaws in nature...either paint or even sometimes wood grain in maple tops not looking right.

Well to be honest...a 2nd is better than no guitar. But I really am expecting them to ship non-seconds. That was my whole purpose in buying...that they were normal and stock regular EPI's with no issues. Shouldn't be long before we find out. I have seen you on HC and there (so far) has been no mention of 2nds that I know of. Thanks though VH. We shall see as they say.

I read somewhere that the bullseye is painted on. Not a decal.
