Alice in Chains......Would?
Thought I'd give this a shot...... Tried recording and mixing everything in Cool Edit..... just a BT and me!! . I did guitars and vocal's.......excuse the vox, I had a bad day LOL!!! Hope ya like...

This turned out great J.! Nice harmony on the vox and the solo tone sounded awesome. How did you like using the L6 XTL. Nicely done!

Sheesh I wish all my vocal days were this bad.  Just great all around, awesome guitar sound, and the vox rock.

Very nice job man! Great tones. One of the only good bands to come out of the plaid covered 90's was AIC. I love this song and you covered it well. |

The vocals seem quite low in the mix, which is a shame because they sound really good. If I had a voice like that, I'd be telling the guitarist to turn their amp down....
Great recording, I really enjoyed it.

Also a big fan of this tune. Your vocals do sound really good but I agree with Moss in that I would like to hear more of them...because they do sound great and fit your choice of covering this song really well. |

Thank you all for the wonderful comments on this!! I really wish I'd had more time to spend on it, but thats just life...... I know you all know what I mean..... Anyway, my friend Super..... thank you sir for the listen.... comps from you really mean alot , rich, TY as well, I'm really digging your stuff too!! , Linda.... well darling, it means a lot that you would listen and like.... were gonna get you out of your shell here one of these days LOL!! . Rythameen, what can I say.... a comp from you is BIG time bro, 'cause your stuff blows me away... Riff, TY, and I agree with your comments about AiC, it was to short lived...... Moss and A Koo, TY.... Yes I agree with your comments as well, I was a little unsure of the pitch in places, and did'nt wanna make any ear's bleed LOL.... , and last but surely not least...... LOVE THE GUITAR SOUND , sounds like that of tony iommi on the first Sabbath albums .voice is cutting and in tune , nice echoey ambience on your voice , i like the way you have mixed this mate , it has light and shade . whilst still kicking ass ! . great post !
ps , whats it like editing midi in cool edit ? , i never knew you could

Why TY there Art..... I'm not doing anything midi on this, as far as recording or editing..... just POD XT Live straight into the line in on the sound card, using the "studio direct" function on the POD. Same for the vox.... CAD GXL 2400 into a Studio V3 ART valve pre, then just tweeking with the effects in the Cool Edit program....... I'm kinda a "fly by the seat of me knickers" guy, but i'm learning LOL.....
