Behind the Wheel - Depeche Mode

Okay so I got a little inspired by MattM and Ksdb with their Depeche Mode post, so I threw this together tonight. It's one of my favorite DM songs. Hope you guys dig it. Got a little heavy on the flanger but I think the mode of the song called for it. Thanks for the inspiration guys

This song has some sweet harmonic intervals and interesting overtones. They seem much more apparent with your vocal arrangement. You come up with really great arrangements on you songs BTW; this one is outstanding. The rhythm sounds kind of menacing in a way; it would make a cool soundtrack music in an eerie movie.

BTW, do you get into Bjork at all? Your arrangements somewhat remind me of her musical approach - great company to be in, IMO!! Nice job, Matthew!!

Thanks ksdb

Yah I was thinking the same thing last night after I listened to this song a couple of times after posting....it does sound kind of evil. I added a diminished minor harmony here from the original harmonies...makes it sound kind of creepy. I am starting to think I have a bit too much flanger also....it sounds really bassy through my headphones...I may try for a remix when I get some time. Thanks for the feedback. I do actually like some Bjork...can't listen to a lot of her though without getting a little annoyed...hmmm which I am guessing would be the same case with listening to this type of A Cappella music

Thanks again,

This incredible, I am always amazed and surprised at the quality of the arrangements and execution of your acapella stuff. This is absolutely wonderful..

Not to toss out any requests, but New Order might be interesting a capella (if you haven't already done something of there's).

Thanks much

Thanks for checking this out and the nice commits guys. I really appreciate it. New order might be an interesting one...I have been searching through my rock collection to try and come up with something totally different to try when I have some time...but I fear if I tried this A Cappela thing on something more guitar driven like some Van Halen or something it would 1) probably suck and 2) likely get me banned from this site

It would be sweet to pull of some Rush for my homey KC though

If I could only sing that high.
