This is my trio (guitar, bass, drums) jamming on the
Robben Ford song 'busted up'. Funk to the max. Totally improvised and only the second time we ever played it. Recorded LIVE in a very small garage. Traynor amp, Parker mojo, and one pedal - the zen drive.
Recorded with one mic (mini disc recorder) in the middle of the room at eye level. This is a lot longer than it normally should be, but we didn't have the vocalist around that week, so we got to indulge and stretch a bit. It's just a loose jam. I prefer first or second takes on jam tracks as they are usually the most spontaneous and fresh. Always a good idea to record everything you do because it's the off the cuff stuff that is usually the best.
