I just picked up a UAD-1 card and the mastering bundle and created this cover song as a test. Check it out.....

totally bad ass love this song and entire cd. The guitar player is the guy from Europe and is amazing. Nice vocals, is that all you on the vocals, or is some of Don's backing vocals still in the mix?

Nice job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gary

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback.

I performed all instruments and sang all the vocal parts. Here is a breakdown of what was used:

All Vocal parts - Rode NT1a into a Focusrite Voice Master Pro.
All guitars - PODXT - I wanted to get an 80's style sound so I used the Marshall JM PRE as the model.
bass - Bass PODXT
Drums - combination of Drum Kit From H#* Superior and Custom and Vintage (Just got C and V for Christmas and it sounds great)
Mastering was done using UAD-1 Mastering Bundle.

You can't leave out Don Dokken's second guitarist on this CD Billy White. IMO, he's as good as John Norum.

Know this album too well. GREAT job!!!

When it started, sounded spot on. Great sound, mix, and helluva job on the vocals.

Sorry to say I don't know the original recording, but this sounded great. A totally pro mix that I would expect to hear on the radio. You've really got some talent man, playing, singing and recording.
