Ed Taps

Me attempting some Eddie Taps with the Kramer 1984 reissue (striped) Hot Cake and Marshall Valvestate.

I posted this before, but thought I'd have another bash at it.

I still find it hard to hit all the harmonics and make them ring without catching the low e in the process.

Oh well...

Re: Ed Taps

I only learnt this bit, and find this difficult enough. I just can't do it naturally enough, and like I say, I keep catching other strings or don't hit the fret precisely enough...

Best I leave it to the master eh ?

Re: Ed Taps

I know. I'm finding myself playing a lot of guitar lately, so you never know. Maybe I might get it spot on and in tune before long !

Yeah, well I do the same myself so don't let it worry you-there's always someone more talented that you'll see no matter what level you're at! I hear Petrucci play and think 'God, how the hell can you play that intricately where every note you played, you meant!' It's the keeping on trying to get better that makes the instrument (or any other) incredible.
