When I started playing guitar,
Iron Maiden, more specifically Murray and Smith, had a HUGE impact on me. Unfortunately, all of the bands I have been in only had one guitarist, me (except for one band in high school where we turned the volume down on the other guy because he sucked so bad). I always wanted to play dual guitars with either my equal or someone better than I am. When the Trooper backing track was posted I was pumped becuase I have played this song for almost 20 years.
I figured now was my chance that I could play with another player to bring my playing to a new level. WahWah brought my playing to a new level. Mondola was gracious in allowing me the opportunity to play on his Highway to Hell track earlier this year which inly made me more horny to work on another, even more complicated production.
To me, playing is about the whole band
experience and I really appreciate Wah playing with me on this track. It was almost virginal for me, and I mean that as sincerely as I can say it in the presence of so many perverts.
Just a technical note that Wah was using his POD XT, and I was using my V-Amp2. I took the first solo, Wah took the second solo, and we both played the rhythm high and low registers respectively.
Hope you guys dig it as much as we did
