improv cover

hey guys

you've prolly heard this one before it's the jazz classic blue bossa .. i got the backing off guitar techniques a few weeks ago ..

this is my first take EVER on playing this so i thought it'd be interesting to record. ..

i've heard the song many tiems before ... and there are many many blunders in this and it distorts sometimes in the lead for some reason .. but oh well .. it's not as jazzy as i'd like it .. but you know first take and everything i forgive myself for being slightly rock

Re: improv cover

This song is perfect for sitting in the lounge with a glass of whine. I am pretty impressed with this Stiglar it does not sound like an easy tune to play and you pulled it off quite nicely.

Re: improv cover

er.. C minor - C#major means I have to think about notes but okay post it up. I've made an ass out of myslef before so this won't hurt anything

Re: improv cover

hehe it's not hard really .. you don't have to really think about notes just think about shapes ....
one Cminor shape and one C#major shape ... after a few listens of how the track goes you can start getting the hang of it !

Re: improv cover

good attitude !

i used to try and force myself to like this kinda thing cause i knew it would make me a better player ... but i just couldn't stand it .... then i started listening to jeff beck and fusion and all that kinda stuff and from there i started really understanding it and it really fascinated me and i really got into it !

i still love van halen and rock but i just don't really enjoy playing it as much anymore that's not to say it's boring to play cause everyone has their favourite styles of music , i just didn't realise what mine was till a bit later

Re: improv cover

same ehre. i love blues! i always been a fan of classic rock. believe it or not,, my all time favorite is zztop them 3 guys blow me away when i watch em live and i have seen em 3 times and still they blow me away. not to say i dont love vh,, cause his style is the style i learned for fast guitar like the hammerons and pulloffs,, but lately i been into alot of blues and even other stuff i never played satriani up till about 6 months agao asnd now im gonna try doing vai wich will be a chalenge for me. i also want to get into learning jazz as well. learning on guitar is a never ending process. i just went out over the weekend and got me some 2mm guitar picks that are real heavy so i can try and learn how to sweep pick hehe.
