Thanks guys for the kind words. I'm new to this recording thing, and am excited to start recording more.

I'm using a Wolfgang Standard through a Digitech RP1 (compression, distortion, delay, reverb) and into a Crate combo amp (2 12" celestions). The amp is mic'd with a shure 57 a couple feet away, and straight into my soundcard. Also I added some reverb and chorus in Cool Edit Pro, I thought it sounded better.

This tone sounds to me like fingernails on a chalkboard though, I would like to have a much smoother tone. I gotta just keep tweakin the knobs....

5150 is a great tune and you played it well. The clip does have a lot of hiss and you can get rid of it completely in Cool Edit Pro is you go to "effects" "noise reduction" "hiss reduction" and select high hiss reduction. Then you can turn the level up higher...and if it's the track is not filling up the entire screen vertically, just go to effects-amplitude-amplify and boost it up....before you mess with the track level in edit mode.
