Now I'm jealous cos I can't do that beginning! Nice work. I reckon its cos I'm left handed and the tapping thing is just not comfortable for my right hand...thats my excuse anyway!
I paid a $1050 for the amp ('72 Super Lead) and Doug did the mod for $450. Seems like a lot, but when that baby is in front of you tearin' you face off, you forget about money.

Tone is priceless, and so is yours, J!
Well, I played a wolfgang into a line 6 delay modeler into a MXR phase 90 into a MXR original flanger. This goes into a '72 Marshall Super Lead head that has Doug Roccaforte's high gain preamp modification installed. This goes into a marshall 4x12 with 25 watt greenbacks. I mic it with a SM57 into a 4 channel behringer mixer into my CD burner. As far specifics of Doug's mod...I haven't a clue what his does. He has pictures on his website of the guts of his amps in which the preamp would be the same. No THD's or Variac's are needed. Go to Roccaforteamps.com and contact him. Tell him Jeremy sent ya. He's a really nice guy and will answer all of your questions.
