Judas My Guide - Iron 'kin Maiden

Hi folks

Thought i would try and do a more unusual Maiden number and not one of the usual suspects, probably only the real MAiden fans on the board will have heard it

Judas My Guide to me is one of the more underrated songs that had single potential.

I tend to be quite faithful to Maiden songs when I record them but for this one I tried to imagine what it would be like if Adrian Smith was playing on it instead of Gers

So i chugged away on on Adrianesque rythmic style and since its in D i dropped my E string down for some big bottom...oo eerr

I also beefed up the guitar harmony in the middle.

Thanks for listening

Snakey

Glad you liked the Harmony section, I feel on the original its a bit flat, just my opinion of course, so I added another couple of overdubs and stuck an Adrian smith style rythmn underneath

Hey Kev, hows it going?

I think I will spend more of my time on here now, than waste my time on the Maiden board.........theres quite a few dudes hanging in here and some rippin players.

Hope you liked the track, thought it would make a change to do something like Judas

Sounds amazing. I like your vocals on here a lot. It's nice to hear a different vocal approach to Maiden. Your guitar playing is excellent too. Did you play the bass on there as well? Steve Harris is awesome and gives the band their sound (IMO). Great job!
