Hey everyone! I was going through some old analog tape recordings that I did awhile back and decided to put some on the computer. This is an unaccompanied, completely acoustic version of 'Babe I'm Gonna Leave You' by Led Zeppelin. Keep in mind that this was recorded in one take with no studio editing whatsoever...obviously not as clean as I'd like it, but what the hell...Here goes...Enjoy!
Imho this doesnt need to be any cleaner. It's beautiful.
You don't wanna get too perfect and machine like on tunes like this.
I really miss the vocals tho. Cause that's kinda what makes this tune.
But the guitar was great.
Great like it is, but find someone to put the vox down, and it would be 100% perfect.

great playing! Could it be tho that I sometimes sense some slightly off-tuning from the guitar (one take)? Minus that it sounds great and I agree with the others that this one needs vocals.

Actually, their are slightly off-tuning parts...I did notice that myself. It isn't from the guitar though. The little 4 track tape recorder has a pitch nob that gets a little unstable at times for some reason. Thank god for computer recording is all I have to say...haha.
Thanks guys for the words of encouragement. This tune could definitely use some vocals along with a solid electric guitar, bass, and drums to fill it in. Unfortunately, I played this tune in a slightly different arrangement and because of that it will need some editing if the lyrics are gonna fit properly. If anyone wants to attempt it, I'm all for it. Maybe I should put this in the Jam section to see if anyone can finish it?
