This could actually be concidered a backing track but one for vocalists. (Guitar already added)
The song is mostly acoustic guitar and fairly repeatitious without hearing the vocals. (revolves around two chords mostly)
Crimson Glory are a band from Florida that were absolutely without a doubt the heaviest metal band IMO. They were also true visionaries and pioneers of Prog Metal. I did another "tribute" called "In Dark Places" ...
Singers like this song alot for it's crazy schizo attic mindset :drunk:
Note: I remember that I did not use a direct box for my acoustic piezo but it still sounds good. [always use a D.I. for acoustic/bass...!!!]
Locked in this attic. been here so many years
Shanna won't set me free
She says I'm evil
But then she doesn't know
I'm not pretending, no, not me
Full moon's reflecting
A face in the mirror
Twisted and bleeding
No, you can't be real, no you're
All in my mind
Shades of insanity, you're not me
You're not me
Life in the attic
I like my rocking chair
Staring in shadows
Crouched in the corner
Waiting for something
Laughing at nothing
No one there
And on and on I wonder is there more
What is life beyond the attic door
The full moon in my eyes
Is all that's real
The mirror's lost reflection isn't me
Life in the attic
Life in the attic
Life in the attic
Life in the attic
Cobwebs and dusty dreams
Sharp knives and hollow screams
Wide eyes of terror
Clawing the attic door
Can't take it anymore
You better go away!
You're lyin'
Hey!
Ha, ha, ha, ha!
Who's there?
No one there
You're not me!
I've got a couple of Crimson Glory albums, Transcendence and the one with Valhalla and Azrael (I think it has Lost Reflections too). Their singer was something else; a bit like Geoff Tate of Queensryche.
Your performance sounds fine and I like the reverse guitar effect at the end.
Yeah it's off their "self titled"or ST debue Crimson Glory
The backwards stuf wasn't too hard, it just required something that grooved on the outro fade-out. (I prolly didn't do the exact parts)
Damn this is one wicked cd to have, from the opener "Valhalla" to the closing track "Lost Reflection"
Get a load of Mayday, Angels of War or Azrael
