Lost track for Asia (not exactly a cover)

I wrote this song many, many years ago, when the band Asia was in their heyday. I had noticed their lead singer and songwriter, John Wetton, had a rather formulaic style of structuring their songs, so I emulated that when I put this song together. The chorus actually came to me before ever picking up an instrument, so I had to work to figure out how to play and arrange this song.

This track is slightly more keyboard-oriented, but back when I wrote the song, I didn't have access to decents keys or recording equipment. I had put together a few demos on reel-to-reel and cassette, but the song just didn't sound the way I wanted it to. Now with the software available for home recording, I decided to revisit this song and I think it came out okay. There's not a lot of guitar, although there's a solo and some fills. Of course, this song would benefit greatly from having John Wetton sing it, but for now, y'all will have to endure my singing. :whistling

Would appreciate any comments and/or suggestions ...

Thanks so much for checking it out. Maybe some of the younger folks don't remember Asia very well on this site?? Appreciate the feedback.

I was into Asia years ago. I thought they were great. Your song has a retro sound to it which I like. You influences are very apparant. You did a very good job on the arrangement, man...I liked the tones on the guitars, very clean and articulate. Nice man...I look forward to more.

Appreciate all the encouraging words from everyone and I'm glad that to get the comment about the tones. I tweaked quite a while to get that sound out of my J-Station and it took several takes to capture an adequate performance.

I prefer tone over flash, I spend a lot of time, too much prolly, tweaking my xt so I understand
