"Love Thing" Satriani Classic
heres rythym and lead tracks over backer
i spend a day getting the rythym down and about 10 takes on the lead and keep fumbling the high notes but as a live take, i got most of it right....i may go back and split up the lead tracks to perfect it...any comments are always appreciated but really just hope you enjoy listening....i elaborated on the solo a little but mostly a pure cover

I'm not too familiar with Satch's newer stuff but have heard bits of the original of this tune and yours sounds fantastic. You nailed the tone and the playing is great.

Brilliant! Joe, your playing has gained so much depth over the last 12 months or so. You almost sounded a little too over keen on playing fast when I first came here but lately you have really shown such a classy element to your playing. It is as enjoyable listening to this as it is listening to satch himself. Melody and feel is really apparent in your latest posts. And they rock because of it!

I agree with Porty, you've really matured in your playing, sounds great.

Thanks Rain, Blues and Rythameen......i appreciate you noticing the efforts ive made which was Wah and stretch control that Joe Satch mastered, that im starting now to just get the right feel....but also i know his music well and just try to play it like my memory remebers it...but it did take a year to really understand and control the Wah...OMG if you heard my original. a year ago..lol its usally at the bottom of this thread...but hear ..have a nice laugh

I like the song but i use to dislike people covering it because they always tend to fuck up it. However, you are NOT any normal kind of Satch cover fuker This was a great cover man, it was cool to hear you phrasing over the song a la Axeshredder style instead the bending parts that most people try but fail in the process (and our ears pay the price) Its always cool and refreshing to listen to your covers man. You can tell the diference between a regular G player and someone who lives of it by listen to the way they execute their songs.
As ever, your a pro, WTG Bro
