Metal Gods by Riff Addict

Had to put this great Backing track to use so here's my version of the great Priest's Metal Gods. I tried to keep the tone as true as I could to the original. Well, Sort of.

Not perfect but I'm happy with it, I never can get ALL the noise out but it's minimal.

Hope you guys like!!??

Jam

Yeah man, that was awesome! Really heavy and sound quality was fantastic. Ripping tone on your guitar. Lots of grit and bite, but still thick and heavy. I haven't heard this original but you could have fooled me had you said it was from the album (Obviously minus the vocals). It's just too bad that your favorite band has a singer that is so hard to find someone to sing like (although VanMan's performance on your "Hellbent for Leather" cover is still one of my faves 'round here). But if you ever find someone like that, you're already good to go.

Awesome Riff. One of Priests best tune and you nailed it. The tone was great too.

Thanks alot you guys! Yeah, its tough to find a Rob-like vocalist but KC I agree that VanMan's vox on my Hellbent cover were superb and I love listening to it!

I think this song proves that even simple songs can be powerful and rock as well as the more complex songs. This isn't a hard song to play but its one of my favs!

Toast, If you're out there and want to give this one a try...please feel free!

Muchos Gracias! You know I barely was able to end the solo with the tremolo since my bar is now loose due to the threads getting stripped out. I did it with plumbers tape around the threads of the bar but it was still very loose fitting. It's a Jackson stock Floyd copy but now I can get the Original Floyd trem I've always wanted for it! Those things are practically indestructable.

That must be it! Thanks everyone..I love to play Priest. I've been just a rhythm player for most of my life and playing any solo is a challenge for me to say the least. I wish I could play more like Glenn, but I try.

I'll have Riding on the Wind finished and posted soon.
