Mondola (Clumsily) Attempts Take A Walk
Okay, I'll point out the obvious...
<ul type="square">[*]I can't hit that bloody harmonic in the verse section everytime [*]It's clumsy playing, to say the least [*]I screw up at 1:26. [*]I can't cleanly do the pull off run[*]I'm also clumsy at harmonics
So these mistakes aside, try to enjoy it !!!

Take A Walk
Most people say they use Distortion to cover up their mistakes, well it just amplifies mine !!!
I'll just get my coat...

Re: Mondola (Clumsily) Attempts Take A Walk
well you certainly have heaps more confidence in your playing . you pick hard .. theres some energy there for sure ... great !
i've never heard the song myself . the only thing is the tuning do you own a digital tuner ? .. you should make sure everythings in tune totally before playing .
other than though you've come along way mondola !

Re: Mondola (Clumsily) Attempts Take A Walk
Oh no, not again !
I did tune it before playing. However, when I tuned the G string, the tuner said it was in tune, when it blatantly wasn't. Maybe my tuner is packing up, I don't know...

Try and have a listen to the first Mr. Big album Stiglar, it rocks !!!
You might be able to grab it from here ? Mr Big MP3s

Re: Mondola (Clumsily) Attempts Take A Walk
Hi eric,
I've read and re-read your post loads of times but can't figure out what you mean. Are you saying that it was out of tune ? Because if so, I'm getting rid of that bloody Zoom pedal once and for all, cuz that's all I use it for now, and if it can't even do that right...

hehehe i have the original zoom 505 . .i didn't really use ti much either scept for delay sometimes...
if you want a cheap effective tuner just get a set of those pipes you blow on it and tune your guitar to it ... easy and quick ! and cheap !

Re: Mondola (Clumsily) Attempts Take A Walk
Hi Stiglar. I have another dedicated tuner. It's just that the Zoom pedal was out of it's box, so I used that. It's just really weird. It is really accurate for all of the other strings, but it just won't register for the G string...

Re: Mondola (Clumsily) Attempts Take A Walk
it can be because the G string tends to waver and vibrate alot more than the others i don't know why but i remmeber reading about that somewhere .
i really don't know what you should do ... perhaps just tuning the other strings and then doing the old 5th fret on the D to tune the G technique ?

Re: Mondola (Clumsily) Attempts Take A Walk
Cheers Stig, but my ears are too knackered to do this.
That's why I use a tuner in the first place, and that's the reason why my guitar is out of tune most of the time. I just can't tell...
I'll restring it, and use the other tuner, see if this helps.

Re: Mondola (Clumsily) Attempts Take A Walk
The G string is notorious for pulling slightly sharp most of the time. I always hit an A and a D after tuning the G and you can bet it has to come down a touch...by the way, where do those Mr Big mp3's download too!!! Can't find the one I downloaded.
