My first recording post

Hey Guys,

Well, I finally got up enough nerve to post my first recording on the site. I don't have any sophisticated recording software like Cakewalk, so I just used my Windows recorder (hence the sub-par quality of the recording) sorry. This is my interpretation of just the first part Eruption (I promise more to come). Go easy on me guys. Thanks for listening and for your feedback.

Keep on with it Raven...nice tone. I use Cakewalk 9.0 and believe me, it ain't sophisticated and probably costs about 10 bucks now as it's about 5 years old. It just allows me to manipulate stuff better.

Thanks wahwah - yeah, I know that I have a lot to work on - those triplets are a real bitch. But I'll keep at it. Appreciate the tip about Cakewalk 9 - the new version would probably set me back about $100 bucks - and I'd much rather only spend $10.

Very nice tone and it's well played. You may not know the whole thing, but you're doing a good job at it, mate!

Peace!

Re: My first recording post

Thanks Randy and CanyonCarver - my usual signal chain is simply guitar to MXR 90 phaser with Boss DE-2 analog delay in the effects loop of my 5150 combo amp. However, believe it or not I got that very cool tone for this clip just going through a PODxt with the same signal chain configuration.
