Naifuzan's new Little Wing cover, this time with vocals.
I started playing this tune today and decided to record a new cover of it, and try it with vocals this time.
I couldnt find a really good sound for the intro, so I used the intro from last time I covered this tune.
So the intro is old, the rest is new.
I was surprised at how hard this one was to sing. Pretty tricky melody, at least for me.

Nice work mate but that vocal is very low and hard to get used to (no disrepect!). I have the problem where I feel I can hit stuff until it goes up into what would normally be ok for most but is the fecking stratosphere for my feeble pipes! I've decided that the best way is to completely change the key or change the delivery and 'own' it rather than it own me! Hope you get what I mean...a new guy posted a really interesting cover of 'Watchtower' I think it was...and it was made more interesting because he hadn't gone the same route as expected-you're a fucking star on the guitar mate and I know you could transpose this sucker and make it yours!
said with a lot of respect!

I really appreciate the feedback on the vocals wahwah!
I'm trying to learn to sing, and right now I almost always have to go an octave lower than what its supposed to be to be able to hit the notes.
And as I said, I had a really hard time finding the vocal melody on this one.
But I'll keep at it, and hopefully there will be improvement in the future!
Rich: The guitar is recorded with my line6 guitar port, as always.
Thanks for checking it out guys!

Hey Nai, kuddos to this one (as with every post you´ve done). I wish I had the guts you have to sing, keep up with it man, sounds great to me, somewhat like a Leonard Cohen´s version. No need to talk about the guitar work, simply fat sounding and tasty as allways,

a singing voice is an instrument too and has to be conditioned like your fingers do to play guitar and it takes a lot of practice to sing well just like it takes a lot of practice to play well. david lee roth said it took 3 months of conditioning before he could go on tour. your singing was ok and your guitar work was great. keep working on the singing and it will come around too. practice makes perfect

Great guitar work Naif, and from one singer with a low range to another, keep it up. I would try singing it an octave up. You have to really belt it out, but you might be surprised at what you can do. But I have to say I do like your singing on this, it's almost like Lou Reed doing a Jimi cover.

Good job naif ,the guitar work is very very good (as expected from you ).
the vocals are in key too altho its lower than the original, adjusting a vocal line to your range , by itself wins my respect, it's a difficult thing to do & needs a good ear which i think you have listening to this ,well done.
I am a newbie to singing myself, keep practicing on the vocals and you can expand your range, doing scales Eg.

As always Naif the guitar work was top notch... I thought the vocals were just a bit low, but that is only my opinion...but many people dont realize that your voice is lower than you think...I think you did a great job on this...I agree that the voice is just like an instrument and you need the training with it also...
I personally think you do did great job....

Thanks for all the support guys! You're all great!
I also find the comparison between playing guitar and singing very true. Practice, practice, practice. It's really hard to control your voice when you're not used to it and when you're not a natural, like some people.
It's pretty fun tho, and some vocals almost always makes a song more interesting and easier to listen to, so I'll keep working on it
