You may not have a good memory for names, but you sure got that lick nailed down!

Re: Noodling
LOL thanks, I am terrible about names. When I used to play gigs the singer would just hum out the next tune becuase I would always say "how doesn that go again"?

Re: Noodling
I'm just like you.
My brain remembers every note, chord change, rythm, on my entire record and CD collection but I can't remember the name of most songs (even some Van Halen) to save my life.

Re: Noodling
Heh heh heh,
It's much better than My Poor Attempt .
At some point, I may edit this one so that I take all of the pauses out (at which point, my tongue is probably out in a look of concentration as I'm straining to get the next position right) and I'll speed it up quite a bit.
Or I'll just put Eddie's original in there and see if anyone notices...

You did excellently though ...

Re: Noodling
Dude it sounds like you are hitting the right notes in there, only you did it all clean, you are a much braver man than I cause I need all the distortion to hide the mistakes

Re: Noodling
I've already forgotten how to play it. But I've really got to play with settings and maybe even miking up my amp. Making myself stop using Windows Sound Recorder would help as well !!!
Because compared to some of the sweet tones and sounds on here, I really should do something ! My stuff sticks out like a sore arse in comparison to everyone elses !!!

Re: Noodling
Dude you should really play around with some of the cool editors out there, here are a couple of links and I think they both offer trial versions.
Cool Edit Pro
Cakewalk (Wolfman can give you better advice on this one)

Re: Noodling
I already have Cool Edit Pro.
I'm just a lazy git !!! Plus, I can't remember the last time I actually plugged in. I just pick the guitar up and twang away. But I'm planning on some quality guitar, amp, P.C., pedals, etc., etc. time this weekend...
...that is, unless her indoors says otherwise...

Re: Noodling
I heard the theme before, but I don't listen very much to post-Roth songs. I need to dig that one up sometimes.....
Eric, I thought you did good timing and accuracy.
Mondola, I think you made it very hard for yourself on tryin this in the clean setting. At the first tones I was almost convinced that it was a keyboard or a midi tune.... but after four or five notes I noticed that it was really a guitar! You played it very steady, like it was midi-programmed.... LOL.
Don't see my comment as an attack. You had guts trying this!
