Number of the Beast with Evil Penguin on vox
This is another attempt to capture the essence of Iron Maiden and especially to try to play a Steve Harris bassline. The guitar solos are "in the style of" Murray and Smith, but are not note-for-note by any means. Evil Penguin (Tobias) was kind enough to sing on this and did a fantastic job IMO. He sounds more musical than Bruce Dickinson and has a lot of edginess where it's needed. Thanks Tobias!!

This song always brings back childhood memories for me. It was the very first Maiden song I ever heard. My metal days began then. My parent thought I was worshipping the devil and everything. They took all my Maiden and other groups records and tapes. That didn't stop me from listening...lol. Anyways, great job guys on one of my all time favs.

This is an interesting cover. Thats a wild guitar sound you used too for the main riff. The vocals are spot on - I like them.
The drums are a little weak though, by that I mean they need to be louder man. The guitar solo is really great, I liked it.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. Maiden is a real challenge and there are plenty of rough spots in the backing track if you listen too closely. Fortunately Evilpenguin helps cover up a lot of that with his vocal performance!!

Wow!
Thanks a lot for the kind comments all you guys! I loved doing this cover being a huge maiden fan and all... Bruce is one of my all time favourite singers and Maiden my all time favourite band so this was quite a challenge!
Ksdb: Props to you for doing an awesome backing, bass and all, it was great working with you mate, I'd do it again in a blink!
Rock on!
