podxt setting for 1984, house of pain sample
k guys this is what I came up with for the 1984 tone, podxt guys can get it here
http://www.customtone.com/library.ht...amp;search=evh
it's good for House of pain, Drop Dead legs, Hot for teacher etc etc, it sounds a little hotter over the speakers than in the headphones though, it's that dam recording thing
tell me what you think.

Sounds cool. Maybe too much chorus though. I don't know.

ya know I thought that too but I have the record right here next to me to compare it, there was a fair amout of chorus goin on in that 84' tone , and I backed off the reverb on this tune, if you listen the reverb is although nowhere near the first record level is way up there espesially on this tune, do I think I nailed it ?
no but it's close enough for the girls I go with

You are right that there is a fair amount of chorus going on with House of Pain....but for some reason Ed's low end growl seems to cut through somewhat unaffected.
I'm sure he had some trick up his sleeve.

That's pretty damn close. There may be a bit too much lowe end growl on your guitar, but I am not comparing it, as I don't have the CD with me...

Re: podxt setting for 1984, house of pain sample
ya know I have this problem of playing stuff way too fast where there are no drums, I'm playing that tune way to fast it's funny though it doesn't fell like it when I'm playing it .
