Random Jam

Hey guys ,

i was playing tetris the other day and this tune was on the music so i took the midi and played over it cause i loved the backing ! enjoy ..

i put this in covers cause really i have no idea who it's by or anything and i did copy the meldoy and the beginning so i thought i'd play it safe

oh and particularly i'd like some comments on what the mix is like . i really can't tell on my computer !

it's a bit sloppy but i really could not be bothered going back and trying for a better take . man i'm lazy :P

Re: Random Jam

stig, i love the guitar playing but, honestly, the ka-cha ka-cha background sound bothers the shit outta me The guitar is mixed in very well. Maybe you can do sumfin' with the backing track. Remember this is just my opinion, and I listened to this through a pair of pretty good headphones.

Re: Random Jam

do you mean the drums stingx ?

cause they annoyed ths shit outta me .. they sounded fine when the song was played in the game .. but when i extracted the midi it seem to do this double drum thing that i couldn't really help i should try and edit it .

and thanks jacob5150 , scales i were using ..... ummmm i used C natural minor , C blues , a bit of C dorian in there

and theres a section in there that's in Eb Major

thanks for the comments guys i'm glad i managed to mix it ok ! it's been a big problem for me in the past

Re: Random Jam

Stig, It's really mixed well...the drums sound sort of like they have a mild echo on them, but I do love the backing and your playing over it!! I think the low download to comment ratio is from posting in Covers and Tributes..I think it was an original composition and you did well creatively with it!
