Rav\'s Tribute Solo x3
This is an oldler recording of me going solo and remembering three of the many guitar players that influenced me over the years. I know I didn't do any of them justice this round but, Randy, Eddie and Nuno changed my life so I pay tribute to them with this and I keep practicing.
I added a touch of Bruce Campbell at the start just for laughs.
Hope you enjoy it!

Re: Rav\'s Tribute Solo x3
Thanks YYZ!
I used a Jackson tube pre amp and an Alesis Quadraverb on this. That's old equipment and some would argue that those units are not that great anymore. I'd have to agree...I just bought a POD XT Pro.
I don't know if I could play FOTB... never tried it.
But on the third half of this solo, I gave a try at FOTWB (Flight of the Wounded Bumblebee by Nuno) but my attempt was not perfect.
It's a delay setting using slap-back delay (one return note at the same volume as the note played at a really fast tempo).
It's tough to split my concentration between picking and the actual sound that comes out at double speed and a challenge to keep the rhythm going but it's not impossible.
I'm glad you liked it. That sort of delay setting is weird but very effective when used sparingly. Some would call it cheating I guess hehe. I just experimented and went for it.
I enjoyed your stuff too man! Thanks for listening!
