siN - Tapping part of Eruption

Well, I can't play any VH things, but I tried to capture the tapping part of Eruption. I did it somewhere in october last year, but I haven't had time do anything more actual right now......

I posted it once before on an other board, so people could have a good laugh.

It is a one-taker, not the first take, but no cut & paste work in here......

And I already had the comment that Eddie didn't do a dive bomb at the end, but did something with a tape delay (and afterwards I could remember that I did something like what Eddie did with a tape delay, that I did that with a Boss pedal, The Digital Delay (DD-2). You could capture a few seconds of music in that thing and hold it and while holding it you could turn the tone down.....

Sorry for my bad english sentences, but you'll get the picture I'm talking about....

I shall stop chatting and upload the stuff, so you all can start laughing.....

It was simply recorded with my Ibanez directly plugged into my Boss GT-3 and that directly plugged in the standard soundcard of my PC.

So close dude! It was all dead on until you got to the decending part. It sounds like you may be about a step down on that part. It's hard to tell without my guitar in hand, nice job though you have the dymanics down now it's just a matter of finding the right postition

Very nice work.
Eric pointed it out, you must be missing a step at the descending part. The rest is great!

Re: siN - Tapping part of Eruption

Thanks Eric,

I didn't tune down my guitar. I see most tabs of this part on the second string. I did it all on the third string. I figured this part out somewhere a the end of the 80s, when there was no free tab sharing stuff and no internet.... That's why I like it on the third string....

On the end I use an E chord. So with standard tuning this might sound too high for you. But for me it is just right and I accept this half note higher.....

Thanks for listening!

Is it something what I'm missing, or is it my tuning....

Or did I jump too fast towards the ending chord, just to get away of my attempt.....?

Please be a little more specific. With my language problem I need clear comments before I get it......

If you please would clarify a bit more.......

BTW: Thanks for commenting me!

When you get to the high part your left hand (pinky) should be on the 12th fret, guys correct me if I am wrong because I don't have my guitar around. It sounds like you are a full step below around the 10th fret. The rest is just right.

It's hard to explain so I recorded it and slowed it down during that part, I am close to being in tune with you so this should help Slow Eruption

Hi there,

siN, you are damn brave. I still can't play this at all ! No surprise there eh ? I can hear the fact that you are a step down when you start the descending part, but it's only slight, and doesn't distract too much from the overall feel.

But the feel and sound is great ! Especially after your introduction, which implied that it would be far worse sounding than it is. Great effort, I enjoyed it !

But then, what's my opinion worth ? I can't play it at all !
