splawn quick rod eruption clip

well, i'm on vaca for the next 2 weeks...one of my goals was to work my way through the hard parts of "eruption" now that i have some free time....i've been trying to learn this tune in it's entirety ever since i was 13 (i'm 37)...the tapping outro stuff i already knew...

i recorded this really quick yesterday, the sound quality is horrible but i think you can get the idea...


i know it's not perfect but i think it's kinda close at least...closer than i've ever come before.


would welcome constructive criticism

Hearing someone post 'Eruption' is like a red rag to a bull to me cos I been working on this bastard since September 14th 1978...two days after buying the album! But you did good mate...

Good Job thats the beauty of this Riff do EVH however add some of you in there, sounds great, I know somedays I can rip it and some Im like of thats enough for right NOW lol, keep it up good work

oh man, i'm the same way...i was 13 when i heard eruption for the first time...i'm 37 now...it took me that long to be able to get it this far...and it's still not exact...you can spend your whole life chasing that tone/playing.

yeah i noticed that if you don't play that thing (eruption) for a week it takes you a few tries to get it right when you do play it...that's the brilliance of edward.
